Saturn S Series Waterpump, radiator, thermostat, cooling fan replacement

This is a supplement/response to Richpin's video for removing a water pump pulley without impact and radiator removal. If you want to see how to remove, please watch his videos. Put all 6 bolts in your water pump for a TEST fit BEFORE you put your Red Silicone hi temp gasket maker. I made the mistake and only 4 of 6 bolts lined up, had to remove water pump and scrape of gasket maker and restart because it was already drying up. 2. Using a spade bit I was able to get out the original o-ring on the water pump, it was very dry brittle. Be careful. 3. Use a helper 4. Tranny filter was bought at NAPA, its a spin oil real simple. Remember to remove magnet from old filter and clean then put on new filter! Drain plug is on bottom of tranny, it took 4 quarts of Valvoline Mercon/Dexron 3 Maxlife. 5. Cooling fan motor was dead so replaced, bought it at Autozone. It was the same size, but a fingernail to big. I had to scrape/sand the sides of the plastic cooling fan house where the motor mounts to so it would go in. 6. There is only ONE bolt holding the plastic cooling fan housing to the radiator. 7. To flush, I drained ALL the coolant in a bucket and had it properly disposed of. Close drain cock, filter radiator with water using garden hose once full start the car and open the pet cock, when it looks clear shut the hose off and shut the car off. Let ...
